CROP MARKET — PRIVACY POLICY

Crop Market ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it's used, and the choices you have. We collect only what's necessary to operate a local farm marketplace, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account & identity information. Your first and last name, email address, and account details. Your first and last name are kept private and are used only to maintain our internal records and identify your account — they are never displayed publicly on your listings (see Section 3).
Listing content. The product details, descriptions, photos, pricing, county/location, and any contact information you choose to include in a listing. Anything you put into a public listing is visible to all users (see Section 3).
Contact information. The email address — and, if you choose to provide it, the phone number — you supply so buyers and sellers can communicate.
IP addresses. Collected automatically when you submit a form. We use IP data for fraud prevention, abuse detection, and enforcement of platform bans. IP data is used for security purposes only and is never sold or shared for marketing.
Payment information. Processed securely by Stripe. We use Stripe for seller advertising/listing fees and for purchases of Crop Market's own branded products. Crop Market does not collect, store, or process buyer-to-seller payments, and does not store your payment-card information. Stripe's own Privacy Policy governs the handling of payment data.
Messages. Messages you send and receive through the Crop Market inbox, so we can deliver them and notify the recipient.
Cookies & usage data. Our platform host, Wix, sets cookies and collects basic technical/usage information needed to operate the site (see Section 7).
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information above solely to:

Operate the marketplace and connect buyers with sellers;
Display your listings and deliver messages;
Send you service emails related to your account activity (see Section 5);
Prevent fraud and abuse and enforce platform bans and these policies;
Process seller advertising fees and Crop Market's own product sales (via Stripe).

Private (records only): your first and last name. These are never shown publicly.
Public (by your choice): anything you place in a public listing, including the product description, photos, county, and any contact details (such as a phone number or email) you choose to include in the listing, is visible to all users. Please do not include information in a listing that you don't want shared. Transactions between independent buyers and sellers happen directly between those parties — Crop Market is an advertising platform and is not a party to those transactions.

Wix — our website host and infrastructure provider.
Stripe — our payment processor for advertising fees and Crop Market's own products.
Legal compliance — we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Crop Market, our users, or the public.
